Hey god, These are the reasons why i don't believe in Christianity (currently). Please improve your logic and get back to me.1) Why would got make tiny particles to create the fucking universe. Wouldn't it be easier to just make the substances themselves?2) Wouldn't it be a lot easier to have not created humanity and have a bunch of people praying to you about trivial shit all the time?3) If you created Lucifer, didn't you know ahead of time (because you are god) that he would get into heaven and then question all of your logic?4) Why did you create satan?5) Okay right after jesus died for our sins and humanity was given the ability to repent and confess, what about all the people who weren't in the middle east. Its not like people in asia could check on the internet for cosmic divine updates on your blog.6) Why did you create a serpent in the garden of eden? Okay you wanted to tempt A&E but, if you made them didn't you know how they would react? i mean you are god...7) If you made me, then don't you know all the interactions i will have, and wouldn't that mean my ultimate destiny is predetermined by that?8) Why were adam and eve naked? I really don't get that lol. Just kinda random.9) Why did you make me in sin, and then expect me to disobey the way you made me?10) Where did you come from and why bother with all this crap? This has been a big business presentation.

However, just remember that God only likes unmarried virgins.

my thoughts...1) something has to be made up of x particle2) don't really know a good answer of this.. falls into the "meaning of life" mystery.3) always gotta have polar opposites. no good without evil to balance it out.4) see #35) perhaps generations before this time, people believed in god, and jesus was sent to remind the world of his existence.6) to create a balanced form of man, testing them. the act of choice is a very powerful trait that man possesses.7) perhaps destiny isn't pre-determined, and our purpose in life is to just perform a variety of difference choices that lead us to our unique "end"8) Why not, every other creature other than man doesn't wear clothes.9) learn from mistakes maybe? test our iron will.10) This question is like questioning whats "outside of the infinite universe" i don't think anyone will ever come to a conclusion about how the whole entirety of existence began.

oh well i don't believe in free will so there you goIf god is so great, why does he need a polar opposition other than to give people a scary alternative? i'm pretty sure necessary opposition is a human convention.I'm Big Business and i approved this message.[Edited on February 13, 2009 at 1:38 PM. So if you don't believe in Free Will and you don't believe in God, what do you believe in?Cause if you think we're predestined to do something then you must believe that someone set out a path for us.

i guess what i believe in is technically called behaviorism, but i don't like that term.I believe all physical things can be explained by newtonian or post newtonian physics whenever we figure it out.I believe all human actions can be explained by biology or a combination of psychology & sociology. Sure we don't know these things now, but keep in mind, it was a crime against god for Copernicus to say that the sun and not the earth wasn't the center of the universe. If we figure out a logical reason for the creation of this universe that can be proven scientifically, what else will we change about christianity?I would be happy if christians just said "phenomenon that can be observed can be explained, phenomenon that can't be observed can't be explained and in those cases god comes in"I'm Big Business and i approved this message./]

i guess there are reasons to doubt god as well as reasons to doubt scientific explanation.
2/13/2009 1:46:20 PM
silly mei thought he was talking to gronke
2/13/2009 1:46:50 PM
well science functions on doubting what we already know. otherwise we'd still think the earth is flat. thats the fundamental difference...I'm Big Business and i approved this message.

whatever, christianity is the fucking flavor of the week (well, this millennium or 2) the thought that there's nothing there when the lights go out is terrifying, but what if that's all there is?
2/13/2009 1:55:26 PM
Well it's free will what you pick to eat. You are making the choice to get something from fast food, which may not be the best choice, but God isn't going to stop you from doing that and force you to eat an apple.
2/13/2009 1:56:18 PM
its free will because you can choose where you want to eat.you can choose not to eat, but you'll die.
2/13/2009 1:56:43 PM
no way, i'm choosing hardees because its close, and they have the item that my body desires.i would make it myself, but my biological make up makes me lazy.I'm Big Business and i approved this message./]
2/13/2009 1:58:23 PM
Well for instance. My church sent me a care package full of candy and cookies for Valentines day. I have the choice to make, do I want to sit here and eat all of it, or do I want to give it away. It's my free choice to make, so in that caseWho wants it?
2/13/2009 2:01:12 PM
western bum
2/13/2009 2:03:39 PM
Well, i believe humans evolved (or god gave us) to believe that they have free will because we can do much more complicated things. But while we're on that topic it doesn't make sense that free will could be a product of evolution. In this case religion makes a lot more sense.I don't believe animals have free will, i believe i'm a very complicated animal.I'm Big Business and i approved this message./]

seriously though i'm hungry as shit.Hopefully before i get there my biology will tell me whether to get 2 jumbo dogs or a thickburger. I don't want to hold up the line.^somehow i think thats the FIRST thing that made me question christianity when i was younger. Someone told me everyone else had a generational curse that went back to the old testament days lol. Later i realized there were much bigger mysteries. lolI'm Big Business and i approved this message./]

you could order delivery if you were lazy. but obviously it costs more.hey every thing has a price, basic cause and effect.

I believe that God is not all-powerful...He cannot create a rock which He cannot lift, or if He can, then he can't lift the rock. And among other things, maybe God cannot create a universe in which there exists happiness, but no sorrow. Perhaps He is subject to certain universal laws, just like everyone else. That's my take, anyway.
2/13/2009 2:15:35 PM
2/13/2009 2:21:47 PM
ok I agree with most of what you say BB.Here's my rational. We are programed through evolution to believe in a higher power. Without that belief our brains do not function properly. (take that as what you want it to mean)I believe in karma or in scientific words matter is not created nor destroyed. So when you do something it comes back to you. (again take it as you will)
2/13/2009 2:34:35 PM
^^ oh so we figured out everything about space time?^ eh, social interactions do not follow the same rules as matter. there are concrete scientific reasons why matter can't be created or destroyed. Our society is constructed through history not through hard sciences.I'm Big Business and i approved this message./]
