How I miss posting stories of my life on TWW....here is the latest story going on.

room mate had a party to celebrate his birthday.

I really don't know anyone there...but said whatever, I'd stay instead of leaving. I invited a few friends, and we end up leaving.
I come back to seeing a cop leaving. He issued the room mates noise tickets. Some guy said he lived here, and he got a ticket. The 3 room mates told me that was my ticket to take care of since the guy was trying to take a bullet for us.

My thoughts, are I wasn't here anyways go fuck yourself.
I'm told that is pretty selfish of me. I really don't give a damn. That's $100, when the security guard at the complex claims she yelled at someone on the balcony to turn the music down. I wasn't here so they couldn't give me a ticket anyways. I don't know the guy, so he took a ticket because he was more than likely drunk

Thoughts?

You weren't there for the crime, you shouldn't have to pay for the ticket. Seems pretty black and white to me.

uh...noise violation = you had to be there making noise.

your roommates are retarded and you owe them nothing.

Why on earth did they make a third guy pretend to be you?

Why not just say you weren't there and have the other 2 guys get the ticket?

You're in no way responsible though. The other 2 guys should split the cost of the third ticket, or just make the other guy pay.

Total 4 room mates.

3 of the room mates got tickets, 4th guy just pretended to live there. They have the ID of the room mates and the 4th guy.

This is why, I'm like...no, go screw yourselves.

Yeah, you don't owe them anything.

They made the noise, not you.

They were present at the party when the cops came, not you.

It was their party, not yoursl

And the tickets were issued to individuals, not a household all together. There's no reason that a 4th person had to step up. That's just stupid.

You definitely don't owe them anything, but it's going to suck living with them until they get over that it was their party, you weren't there and had nothing to do with it.

I'm still wondering why the 4th guy thought it was necessary to speak up and get a ticket whenever the three present roomates would have sufficed. You should not have to pay for their lack of intelligence.

In order to take a bullet, you actually have to take the bullet. That includes paying the ticket, not just looking at it before handing it off to someone else.

Also, this doesn't count as taking a bullet. He invented the bullet in the first place.

I think I'm gonna walk up to a cop, confess to a crime I didn't commit, and then hand the ticket off to somebody else... Taking a bullet?

you weren't there, therefore you didn't contribute to the offending noise. You are not responsible for anything noise related that happened in your absence.

throw the "bullet catcher" a quarter and tell him to call someone who gives a fuck.

The only way that I can see that you should take responsibility for the 4th guy's ticket is if the law says that everyone who is on the lease is to be ticketed for a noise violation whether they were present or not. If that's not the case, then the 4th guy was a fool and it's his ticket.

lol when I was in the dorms 2 or 3 of my roommates got tickets for underage drinking or something

we had a keg in the bathroom they didn't find, I had like an ounce in my room they didn't search for, and though I was drinking too I was upstairs smoking a cig at the time and got off scott free

I didn't help them with their tickets though, and wouldn't have expected them to help me with any tickets I got. it's luck of the draw, and do you feel bad when you river an all-in bluff?

tell them, that if you were in a car and the driver got a ticket, its his ticket and not yours. so just because your in the apartment doesnt mean you have to pay shit, its whoever was at fault. meaning your roomates and those at the party. if you dont want to take the chance of dealing with a noise violation, dont have friends over. whoever hosts a party gets the bill, you werent

Back in the heady days of the early ninetees, I used to know a girl named Kate.

Or, to use her nickname, Bucket Fanny.

This nickname was well-earned. She was, shall we say, a bit of a goer.

I recall one occasion in the Student Union Kate aka Bucket Fanny picked up this fella with the grace, flair, and poise of a street hooker. Within about five minutes she was leading this young gentelman by the cock to the toilets.

We carried on with our drinks and general talk about fuck all.

Kate returns about ten minutes later, her lips tightly sealed. She sits down, picks up a shot glass, and gobs out a rather sizable load of man juice, filling the shot glass just about half full.

"White russian, anyone?" She said, sounding rather pleased with herself.

Now that, my friends, is a fucking show stopper...

I'm confused how you didn't explain to your roomies immediately that they are idiots and you owe nothing for all the reasons listed above.

If you can't convince them through logic that you aren't obligated to pay anything, then you deserve to be out a $100.

I already explained to them I wasn't paying...and they can put a lid on it. That's when the guy taking the bullet line came in.

More shall be seen tomorrow when they try to go to the courthouse.
