I already gave my main explanation. Also, its fact that even once I am married I will spend more time over the full course of each day listening to music than having sex. Obviously its not something that everyone will understand, but for me the decision didnt even require hardly any thought.

It's not so dumb for some apparently. As much as I love sex in all its forms, the excitement and passion created, perpetuated, and internalized therein...the connection with the individual with which you're performing and of course the pure hedonism of it all...it's admittedly hard and unnatural to give up.

But hearing, understanding, writing, and performing music plucks many of the same chords in me as sex does, and any of you that have ever performed on stage in front of a receptive crowd know that experience is not entirely unlike sex...only with a lot of people. Like sex, music reaches in and touches something carnal, innately human; it also provides an intellectual experience that can be related to mathematics, theory, and the human psyche. At the end of the day your body can only provide you with so much, and the rest of the human experience is left to the mind.

That said, I have to go with music.


besides, lots of people go their entire lives without sex and do alright. I'll allow artificial insemination with your own eggs/sperm for procreation purposes but the act of intercourse and any associated foreplay is out. Masturbation to the point of orgasm is out too, just to make it more difficult.
