Saw this on Perez a minute ago

http://perezhilton.com/2009-02-26-the-never-ending-stream-of-remakes

From Perez (for people that don't want to open the link):

Quote :
"Happy news for all you kiddies from the '80s.

Warner Bros and the Kennedy/Marshall Co. are in talks to make another rendition of The Never Ending Story!

The studio recently acquired the rights to the franchise, so there's a good chance of a remake coming soon.

The new flick would put a modern twist on the classic tale.

As for the original film, it came out in 1984, followed by a sequel in 1990 and a third flick in 1996. So is a fourth version really necessary?

What do U think of the possible remake?

Would U go watch?"

I don't think this movie should be touched and it makes me sad to think about it being remade.

I'm okay with it as long as they bring back Jonathan Brandis.

making new movies doesn't do anything to original versions of movies

it just shows that hollywood has run out of ideas

some remakes are good

the original Welcome to Mooseport was awful, but the Ray Romano remake was fantastic

Most people that I know that were kids in the 80s don't have feelings I would describe as "happy" every time one of these doomed-from-the-start projects is announced.

Im not saying its a great movie from a critical standpoint. It was fun and entertaining for the time and I just dont see the need to remake it.

Ive seen it probably 2x in the past 5 years though

Reach the stars, fly a fantasy
Dream a dream, and what you see will be

this is one of those movies that you remember being awesome, but if you go back and watch it now it's pretty bad (same thing with Brave Little Toaster)

I still think the original Neverending Story is good, but I definitely had a huge letdown when I watched the second one a few years ago. The sequel definitely didn't age well as I've aged.

Oh how I cried when he lost his pony. I loved those movies. Not crazy about a remake unless it is done well, which I doubt.

both these movies sucked (no clue they made a third)

but the scene in the swamp is great (from a heartstring POV)

the scene i remember most is the thing where you have to run between the two poles, and as long as you don't have fear you're fine

WHAT KIND OF PLOT DEVICE IS THAT
