I may be the whitest fucker on the face of the planet, but my upbringing was around five points in High Point so I'm not exactly used to being around this many white people. Same thing happened when I got to state, higher concentration of white folks than I was typically used to seeing.

i'm always amazed when i go back to raleigh at the ratio of white ppl to black. rocky mount has way way way more black people than west of i95. when i first started at ncsu in 2001 i was like who know there were this many white ppl in one place.

i can't fathom how the overall US population is only like 11% black...

uncw is even worse. I have a class with 150 people in it, and I think there may be 4 blacks.

i spent three weeks in washington/oregon/idaho, and saw a grand total of 3 black people the whole time.

interestingly enough, i believe there's a direct correlation between the population density of black people and the availability of bojangles and/or cookout. they sure as hell ain't got fried chicken on the left coast.

At UCLA and CAL, two of the most diverse schools in the nation, this is nearly the same. Course, the AZN populace was near 35%... I just looked, UCLA had 100 Freshman Blacks enroll in 2006 and 64 were on Athletic scholarship...

if you exclude work I usually don't see many black people in raleigh, ever. If you think about it bars are nearly as segregated as churches (i don't mean church's) are.

Actually there's a correlation between being in North Carolina and the availability of those places.

Boone has both a bojangles and a cookout, and there are like 200 black people there total.
