Also, this whole thing is like a list of stuff that people who aren't from the internet should have seen. Viral video fads and shitty youtube clips most of which wouldn't even raise an eyebrow to someone who is a regular internet user. I definitely didn't recognize a good lot of that shit since they're just stock youtube clips that casual web users would find funny. On the other hand, people more familiar with the internet and its humor will browse something besides youtube and youtube-esque sites if they want something funny (I don't mean /b/ or any retarded shit like that, either).

Also, some of the stuff on that list is [old] enough to be from the goddamned 90s. And there's better (or at least more fundamental) stuff from the 90s that's not even up there.

Some of these (like Miss SC being an idiot, and mentos/diet coke) are just a part of some cultural baseline to anyone with internet access. And ytmnd is something of a baseline for people who actually use the internet regularly, though most of them probably saw it back in the early 2000s and now consider it [very old].

A lot of them, though, are just little "viral" fads that no one really cares about and are mildly lol-worthy to the sort people who get laughs from browsing youtube.

Also, on a complete tangent, "viral videos" is a fucking stupid term, largely due to the fact that the people who created it are basically just extremely casual internet users who reposted the old material to some old media (tv) shows.
