"Yes, it's fun being a billionaire."FUCK YOU!free thread.

I've often thought that if I were super-rich, my life wouldn't change all that muchI'd still be doing pretty much what I'm doing now...otherwise I'd get boredI'd drive a really nice car and take awesome trips and eat the finest food, etc. but the way I spent my days would be much the samealso, since this is a free thread...]

If I had a billion dollars I wouldn't feel so bad about sitting around all day doing nothing.
3/4/2009 11:31:20 PM
I, too was watching Jon Stewart.
3/4/2009 11:31:44 PM
^^^if i had a billion dollars its hard to say what i'd be doing, but i sure as hell wouldn't be wasting my life away in cubical hell like i am now.
3/4/2009 11:37:51 PM
if i had a billion dollars I would just write music and play shows. probably take some nice trips to places I really want to see but I really dont desire a lavish lifestyle
3/4/2009 11:40:38 PM
yeah. i would just do more of the things i already do. i'd just work less and not be in school.I'm Big Business and i approved this message.
3/4/2009 11:41:52 PM
Yeah I don't understand people who are already billionaires who so whatever they can to get more money. I think if I made a billion dollars I would retire. But then I realize that's why I'll never make a billion dollars in the first place.

I'd probably give half of my money to Kiva.org to vastly raise the standard of living in Africa and South America.
3/5/2009 12:04:57 AM
JeffreyBSG is clearly wrong on a major point. you would be doing way, way, way hot chicks and partying it up instead of doing no chicks and getting rejected from school news papers, dont even lie to yourself
3/5/2009 12:10:41 AM
i'd definitely make sure i saved enough for my kids to live comfortably (assuming i actually have kids one day)so i wouldn't go crazy and blow it all on a bunch of really expensive things, and i wouldn't live a super expensive lifestyle.like most people said. i'd have a nicer car, and i'd get good food, and i'd have a big neough house.but i wouldnt buy a giant mansion that isn't necessary, and i wouldn't buy things just because they cost alot.i'd like to think i'd still be down to earth, but money does crazy things. so who knows?
3/5/2009 12:15:04 AM
i think if i had that much money the question as to whether or not i would work would just be completely ignored, because i would be too busy buying useless shit. that and taking trips to cool places....i, too, will never make close to that much money for obvious reasons.

If I were a billionaire:- Buy a modestly big house, no more than 3-4,000 sq ft, and hire a professional butler from England. Extensive use of solar and wind energy.- Buy the adjacent forest and lake.- Make my own organic fruit and veggie farm outside the house, and keep free-range chickens/cows/goats for milk and meat.- Hire a top-notch chef and have 7-star food daily.- Hire master trainers to teach me (and my wife and kids) stuff I always wanted to learn, but never got the chance to (several martial arts, street fighting, stunts, several xtreme sports, race driving, stunt driving, serious off-roading, woodwork, ceramics/pottery, glass work, magic, various accents in English, and some other stuff)- Open academies to teach the arts I listed above... for almost no fee, to people who can't afford them.- Open a shelter for abused men, women, and children, and hire the best lawyers to help them.- Travel to many many countries, and buy dozens of properties all over the world of all types. Rent them out, sell them after a few years, and repeat.- Buy a $50 million yacht.- Spend $50 million on cars (every supercar, supersedan, and super-SUV out there). Also a few speedboats, jetskis, etc.- Build a proper racetrack next to my house, where I can exploit the full potential of my cars.- Put up my parents and siblings in homes of their choice in the countries of their choice, and enough money to live on forever.- Give $1 million each to the families of my aunts, uncles, and first cousins.- Make a great state of the art hospital for treating the poor for free.- Set up a scholarship fund for kids from poor families worldwide to attend any university in any country. 100 students will be chosen each year, and their education paid in full.- I would still teach in the college where I teach now, but just 1-2 courses per term.- Give $10 million to all my alma maters.- Buy a few million shares combined in Apple, Google, MS, Cisco, etc.- Of course, most of the property and stocks investment will be done by my very own personal investment manager.- Open a nice huge gym. Free to those who make below a certain threshold.- Realize my dream of opening my own health/gourmet/specialty/exotic food store.- Go into space, pilot a fighter jet, drive an F1 car, drive a NASCAR car, and other such thrill rides, which are commercially available, but very expensive. That's all I can think of now.

I would just stop working and live off my money, probably still do a lot of volunteer work from time to time and donate a lot of it (because i don't think i could spend a billion on myself and my family), and leave a bunch as inheritance for my kids.

I think I could make being a billionaire work for me.
4/2/2009 9:16:00 PM
I'd be the first man to turn a billion dollars into a trillion dollars. The easy way would be to move to Zimbabwe. The long term American currency strategy would involve careful planning and a Ponzi scheme.
4/2/2009 9:18:40 PM
i've always wanted my own ponzi scheme
