hey since TV is now digital or something can I just broadcast anything I want to the UHF band?

I want to put together a small, local TV station for my neighborhood

no

they sold that spectrum to Big Business

at least Google managed to get an open-access clause snuck into the requirements

most (all?) of the UHF spectrum carried over to digital anyway, the VHF spectrum used for the audio portion was what was reallocated to terretrial data networks iirc

Will you be broadcasting chess tournaments played on music-playing chessboards?

or is that illegal too?
