To sum it up in a few words: Not as good as Challenge of the Warlords

It's kinda like a Puzzle Quest version of hexic (where cotw was based off of bejeweled). You match 3 or more gems on a hexagonal map. All the same elements from the first are there.

Combat - just like the first PQ, build up reserves to use skills, match bombs to attack.

Hacking - make the requested match, complete a set number of matches with a time limit. This seems to give people fits. I haven't had any issues with it just yet.

Crafting - make items. Pretty much like the original PQ. Here you match colors to make components (like the hammers), then match the components. Only this time you have more components to match than just one type.

Mining - kind of like crafting except you only match the elements. You don't go beyond that. Mining ends when you meet the minimum requirement for each element or when there are no more matches. The elements you store up can be sold or used for crafting.

There are probably a few other game play elements that I just haven't seen yet.

This one doesn't have anywhere near the amount of replay value as the first. There aren't any character classes, so all available options are always on the table for every playthrough. So far it seems pretty bland.
