My experience has shown higher IQ's to be directly proportional to more dangerous incidents of insanity. Sure, all girls go crazy from time to time, but dumb ones aren't really threatening. A dumb-crazy situation can be defused with a shiny enough object. A smart-crazy situation may result in a lawsuit or an attempt to set you on fire.

Of course, that's for people you're interested in dating. For the general population, smart is safer. I've never had a smart stranger chase me out of an apartment complex leading a mob of two hundred angry, armed rednecks after cockpunching me and launching me down a flight of stairs.

I can't really tell how smart or dumb people are.

To me, being open-minded is more important than being intelligent.

If they're too dumb to tell a good joke or be curious, that's a problem.

But after that, I probably wouldn't know the difference.

Enough for them to be able to appreciate good music and good humor. Open-mindedness and their attitude towards life are definitely more important than intelligence after a certain level.

I would however like to be able to talk to them about deeper stuff or modern issues without wanting to bang my head against a wall, but beyond that, good taste and openness are far more important.

Dating IQ doesn't matter. They just need to be physically attractive. If the relationship is to be serious though, I prefer someone that is as smart as me, if not smarter. I want my other half to be equal to me intellectually at the very least, and physical attractiveness can be trumped slightly.

And yes, if you do not hear about lebron on the news coming into the league, you didn’t remember that the baseball HR record got beat, and do not know who Richard Petty is, you are pretty fucking stupid. It was only on all news channels, newspapers, radio, TV.
