is there any kind of easy/freeware way to do this? normally i would use something like laserfiche but i dont have that anymore

also i guess this is kinda a tech thread, but i always lose my tech talk stuff so plz leave it in chit chat

Most scanners will scan to pdf. Our machine at work does at least.

Check your drivers and software that came with the scanner.

I use Jaws, but I don't know if it's free or not.

Oh, just scan it, then open and do as you are going to print it, but instead of printing it select the PDF program you have installed. IIrc this should work.

It might won't put a watermark on whatever PDF you make. I know Fox-it does put one on there.

I use PDF995. has two parts you have to install. No watermarks and you can PDF any sheet size up to D or E. They have two versions: Of course the one you pay for, and then there's the "sponsored" version that spawns a popup every time you use it...a very insignificant issue for a good package.

It installs as a virtual printer...so select scan to print, and it generates the PDF.
