To see if it will autocorrect you?I know I do.
3/12/2009 4:07:23 PM
no. that would involve too much thinking.
3/12/2009 4:07:49 PM
like "makign" autocorrects to "making"
3/12/2009 4:07:55 PM
but it's so fun.
3/12/2009 4:08:16 PM
^^^What she said.^Then enjoy your fun, man.
3/12/2009 4:08:42 PM
BUT I REALLY WANT MAKIGN THERE DAMNIT
3/12/2009 4:11:20 PM
I will.
3/12/2009 4:11:25 PM
if you really want makign you just go back and decorrect the autocorrect and profit immensely.
3/12/2009 4:12:09 PM
if you type at a productive speed AT ALL it seems like it would be really annoying and hard to intentionally misspell words.
3/12/2009 4:12:25 PM
oh, it is, that's why I only do it when I'm having massive attention deficit fits but still trying to somewhat work on it.I, too, am writing a midterm paper on Hitchcock.
3/12/2009 4:13:26 PM
I find it annoying when it underlines real words because it doesn't know themlike "overtightened"
3/12/2009 4:16:30 PM
what is even more annoying is that it doesn't predict what i'm trying to say. the other day i was proof reading a paper (LUCKILY) for like the 10th time and i noticed that a sentence said that "blah blah blah severs to" instead of "serves to"but i mean when i read over my stuff, since i know what i'm trying to say, i'll miss things like that like my mind just changes it to "serves" obviously it wasn't supposed to say "severs." i wish word could read my mind, basically.
3/12/2009 4:17:59 PM
Werd.
3/12/2009 4:20:14 PM
My mom once turned in a report that was attempting to mention at one point that a boy chewed on his shirt. She left out the R, and it didn't underline red...
3/12/2009 4:22:42 PM
^ lol
3/12/2009 4:29:10 PM
i sometimes test the limits, yeah.
3/12/2009 4:33:41 PM
so I'm NOT alone in my quest for autocorrect.
3/12/2009 4:46:49 PM
3/12/2009 4:47:13 PM
^^ Nope - I'll also google words I'm not sure how to spell sometimes. I don't liek mispeling wrods on TWW.]
3/12/2009 4:48:29 PM
doesn't your internet browser underline misspelled words for you? why do you need to google them
3/12/2009 4:49:29 PM
Yeah firefox does in most cases, but sometimes there's words it doesn't have correct spellings for. I'd put an example down, but I can't think of one right now. Also, it doesn't work in single line text fields, like thread titles, chatterbox, etc.
3/12/2009 4:54:53 PM
fun
3/12/2009 10:24:43 PM
nah, when I'm using word, I usually have work to dowork ≠ fuck around time
3/12/2009 10:25:40 PM
