My uncle described it as 'really bad armpit funk, with a bitter undertone'

any of you folks smell a dead rat before? plz to describe

something in the house has gone from zero smell to punch-you-in-the-face-when-you-come-home between midnight last night and 330pm today. I smelled it when I woke up, but I assumed it was something more benign like a fart or dirty laundry. Which is another way of saying that whatever this is, it's intensifying very rapidly.

I've smell checked all the drains, bathrooms, crawlspace and vents, attic...I'm at a total loss. I took out the trash, checked all the cabinets. I would rather bury my nose in that bag of trash than to keep smelling this.

i've smelled a lot of rotten animal carcasses. rats, chickens, deer, etc...

they all smell about the same and it's nothing like B.O. i don't know how to explain it though

Yeah, all dead animal smells the same, I think, if you've smelled one you will definitely know when you smell another.

do any of your animals go outside? maybe one killed something and snuck it in?

do you have a fireplace? sometimes birds and squirrels and other things can get down chimneys.
