the scoop is what i've got, and i don't text nearly as much as you (from what you make it sound like) and i gotta tell you - the plastic coating stuff that naturally covers the phone (i really don't know what to call that stuff) is peeling off on the letters that i tend to use the most when texting. its not like a sticker that goes over the whole keypad, but more like the plastic coating that is on it. agh, i dunno what you call it. but it pisses me off cuz i've not had the phone more than a year and it started peeling at 6mos out, and i don't text that much.

short story: stay away from the scoop.

Do they actually have any good cameras on cell phones yet? I read 5MP on here on the Omnia is that affordable yet or is it a one time thing.

i dunno, do cellphones come with a warranty that covers "peeling plastic stuff"? honestly it's not a defect in the phone, there's nothing wrong with it and it works just fine, i just don't like that the plastic stuff started peeling. you can still see the letters just fine...it just doesn't look as pretty.

eh, i'm not a big complainer. i probably shoulda done something, but i wouldn't even say it's a defect in the phone. they'd probably tell me it's over-use or something. but i text maybe 100 outgoing texts a month, and that's on a big month.

^^^^^ yea if you have verizon and dont want to pay for a real smartphone with an OS the Dare is solid. I have been nothing but happy with it the entire time I have had it. texting, pictures, surfing the internet, call quality, great battery life (I generally get 5 solid days even checking my email and surfing all the time to look stuff up as well as texting frequently along with normal calls)

if I'm not using the internet, then the battery will last 2 or 3 days
if I am using the internet, then probably about 7 hours

yeah besides, my alltel contract is up for renewal in november, so in august i'm eligible to upgrade to a new phone and a new 2yr contract, so i'll just wait it out
