my dog just kind of sniffs the perimeter and watches the other dogs fight. when i had the pug she would instigate the fights and then run off and watch from under a table or something

We have 2, our lab mix runs around in the group...blends into the pack well
our shih tzu likes people better than other dogs, so he makes his rounds to everyone

^True.
My gf's dogs are funny. One refuses to play with the dogs and will only attempt to play fetch with a tennis ball that she approves (you can't just pick a random one up).
The other one will run continuously and then dunk his head in the bucket. It's funny, until we have to take him home in the car.

lol what?

I've never had a bad experience at the dog park. We do have a nice size yard for our dog, but it's also a smart idea to have her get used to being around other dogs. Unless, of course, you like when your dog freaks the fuck out at the sight/scent of a strange dog.

Dog parks are a great idea for socializing dogs and getting out of the house, and would be even better if the owners were responsible and controlled their dogs, unfortunately that doesn't always happen.

I had a pit bull attack my dog and bite me at Carolina Pines, but the dog's owner also liked to leave the dogs there when she went to work for the day.

I haven't had issue with it. We usually go on the weekends a little before lunch, I'm not sure if the timing might have something to do with it. Sometimes the dogs get a little too rough, but the owners usually break it up as soon as it happens (from my experience).

should be good

^ That would be awesome.

Also, Ragged that is just one park. I have been to the one in Garner and off Millbrook and in both cases the owners had good control over their dogs, and the dogs were rarely barking or fighting. It may just be something about the people at the park in Cary, I really couldn't say as I have never been to a dog park there.

I always go to Carolina Pines and have never once seen a dead person/dog. What is interesting through is that you never see a squirrel or bird anywhere near there. Not even a bird in the trees. It's like they communicated and know what lies beneath. Just once I want to see a squirrel fall into the middle of CP

yeah, I know I'm not the only one to think this way, and I actually lived there myself in college for two years. But yeah some Cary people have real problems with intelligence, and understanding.

But yeah Mastiffs are pretty fun. Theres one that goes to the park off millbrook that loves to bother my gf's chow mix, follows him around and tries to provoke chasing. Thing is 150 lbs and still considered a puppy. The owner is funny cause he wrestles with him a little, and he is not much bigger if any.
