Also, how hard do you think it would be to teach one of these cats to have a new name since the ones they give are pretty homo

The kitten (2), just because if you're adopting a cat it's probably better to start with a younger one.

As for names, most cats won't respond so much to their own name as they will to just the sound of your voice speaking in their direction. Some do know their own name, but most don't.

Whats up with two, its hair is kind of long. Will it look shorter when it grows up b/c thats my only gripe with it right now. Will its hair look more like number 1 or still longer as an adult?

^^^Looks like a shorthair cat, so it'll probably look more like 1 or 3 (and 4 kinda, but I can't tell for sure if 4 is shorthaired or not due to the big tail in the way) when it grows up. Kittens just tend to be fuzzy.

there are long haired and short haired cats. do you know if you are allergic to cats yet? prob a good thing to find out. that cat's hair will probably be similar to what it is now when it grows up. slightl long. not like a total shorthair.

we had a cat like that and it stayed kinda long :/ not like a long haired cat, but not like a coarse short hair. my cat also has like the mid-length hair. if she gets all up in my business, it makes my eyes itchy :/ oh and another disadvantage to longer hair = shedding

All cats shed to some degree in spring/summer.

The longhaired ones are just much worse about it since they lose more hair, and the hair is a lot more noticeable and harder to get rid of. Never had a longhaired cat, but my grandmother has two and the couches are still covered in hair the day after she's cleaned.

they also shed in the spring when it starts getting a little warmer. dogs do it too, though.

if you get a shorthair cat you probably won't even notice it. UNLESS you are allergic. my cat is fluffy and has long(er) hair and isn't coarse at all so she sheds some, but it isn't bad. if you get one like 1 or 3 (just a normal shorthair) you should be ok. it isn't like omg hair everywhere.

you had a golden retriever right?

yea it shed for months and was pretty awful. I couldn't even pet it without a handful of hair in my hand and whenever she got near me my clothes would all get hairy.

do they shed so bad that if you pet it you get hair on your hand?

^^With shorthairs, while they're shedding... if you pet it a few hairs drift onto the floor. It doesn't really end up in your hand or anything unless you've got really sticky hands.

my cat - see she kinda has that fuzzy fluff longer hair (but not like a long haired cat):

this is tschudi's cat. she is short hair and fairly coarse(er than a lot of cats) and she doesn't really shed noticeably at all. even when wearing a black shirt and picking her up i don't get hairy

your cat looks like its having a good time and It looks much softer than 1 and 3 but I was pretty set on getting 1 so I guess I won't have to worry too much.

she is soft. but she sheds so...i do a lot of vacuuming. i like 1! i also like 3 though haha. 2 and 4 look like they'd be more fluffy like my kitty and you might run into a hair problemo

1, no question. look how dastardly he looks.

my current cat is grey with black stripe forehead and such. I loooooove him, except when he bites my dick. he's like a fucking dog, following people around.

From what I've seen from all the cats I've met...brown and grey tabbies tend to be friendly/outgoing, grey cats are friendly/loving, and orange cats are more neutral.
If you want a crazy and fun cat that will run around and kill everything but love you at the same time then get a baby tortoiseshell.

i'd adopt 4, 3, 1, but not 2...

4 b/c it appears to be an older cat and will prolly be put to sleep sooner than the others and i'd want to save it
3 b/c it looks cool
1 b/c it looks the next cool

2 kinda freaks me out for some reason...
