I aced hole #1 at kwood. Best moment in my disc golf career, which as you can guess is very limited.

For some stupid reason I have only aced one hole at Kentwood, and it's #6. Makes sense considering that hole is little more than a long putt, but still kind of irritating that I haven't hit any others. On top of that, I've hit #6 THREE times, and I've also hit dead center chains and had it spit out. The only reason I knew it hit dead center is that I heard it hit chains and yet the disc landed in front of the basket (compared to the line the disc was coming in on)...

Off the top of my head I know I've hit the basket on #3, #8, #16 and #18.

Over my years I've hit 1, 2, 3, 7, 12, and 12 again at Kentwood (one of those was the old 12 over the corner of the baseball field, one is the new 12 through the woods). I've also got 15 at Hickory, 13 blue at Wellspring (my only PDGA tournament ace), and 2 short at Ashe County.

Save the date:
July 11-12
High Country Throwdown at Ashe County Park in West Jefferson
Escape the heat of the low country and spend a couple of days getting your ass kicked on one of the best courses in NC.

^ I played it. It's a challenging course with a nice mix of long and short holes. It has a few tight shots and includes a couple par 4's. It's a good change of pace if nothing else. If it was closer to me I'd probably play it more often.

On the downside, you do have to deal with traffic and pedestrians on the open and closing few holes. Several holes have you throwing over or near roads going to and from the school. I recommend checking to see if any events, particularly sporting events, are going on the day you play out there. Several holes also have long walks from the basket to the next tee, which is kind of a drag.

Still, I'd say it's well worth your time to check out if you haven't already done so.
