The problem was too many houses were built and people who didn't deserve loans were given loans. Don't ever let that happen again. Gas prices also were too high last summer, so everyone quit spending money so they could afford gas. This caused many business' to fail like Circuit City because of higher operating costs and the fact that people no longer had enough money to shop. Also they need to ditch the stimulus plan and get rid of the illegal Mexicans who will be a part of the road construction in this plan. That would be a start. All of the money being spent now will cause high inflation in the future that the younger generation will pay for.

Circuit City was bound to go out of business.

Once the average idiot learns about Tigerdirect or any online vendor, Best Buy will go out of business too. I got some ram online for 25$, it was 75$ at Best Buy.

^Those weren't the only stores claimed by the economy. I read somewhere that the bad economy caused the closing of Home Goods too. Maybe online shopping is cheaper, but that doesn't mean people don't go to the store to shop yet.

^might be true

the economy will have no choice but to work itself out. People will put their money back in the market after everyone stops taking it out and stabilzes....when their car starts to get old, they'll buy a new one, when families keep having babies and apt prices rise and credit scores increase they'll make/sell home, when banks realize they are making nearly 0% on money customers keep in their accounts, yet pay out interest, essentially losing money on each customer, they will have no choice but to start lending again.

its self correction - and anyone who thinkss idiotic government intervention and stimulus packages are going to do anything - it might help, but it'll always correct itself over the long haul

if they drop federal income tax, then the massive hole created by the stimulus plans will only get bigger and bigger

1) Legalize and tax:
- drugs
- prostitution
- gambling

2) End the war. (Continue to search for Bin Laden.... but with small expert groups, not thousands of soldiers.)

3) Tell egalitarian democrats to STFU up about, "Everyone should own a home and have a chicken in their pot..."

4) Tell religious republicans to stop fucking wasting money trying to stop abortion, gay marriage, etc.

5) Enact progressive sales taxes. (Tax the ever living fuck out of luxury goods.)

6) End fiat money.

2-yr full government oversight of banking industry. after that, government's out.
rewrite banking laws/oversight
$500 billion to banks in trouble for loans only. strict oversight
$500 billion to small banks for loans only. strict oversight
$500 billion in tax refunds/credits for per capita income households of $75,000 and less

I thought Obama was gonna change shit? I thought he was gonna keep track of our money? Does anyone see that he's full of shit yet, because I do?

Create a video game where you play the part of Obama. The premise is that you must fix the economy and respond to dynamic problems the program presents to you. Kind of like The Political Machine 2008 but with a focus on the economy.

Present gamers with increasingly difficult problems to solve. Invite whoever reaches the last level of the game to become the new Chairman of the Federal Reserve.

Hey, it worked in Ender's Game and The Last Starfighter.

The solution for us was to cut spending. I cancelled some monthly things that we had, totalling about $300/mo. So we're saving on that. And then we planned a trip to Vegas in July.

Do away with the stock market.

50% of company profit (excludes ALL expenses) put in escrow held by Big Brother to use at will.

Other 50% is held by company.

Start people with higher pay, and create across-the-board performance based raise system.

Problem solved.
