Probably worth $$$$$ 9-10 years ago when Griffey was still with Seattle and looking to be the GOAT and the trading card bubble had yet to burst

Probably worth $ 5 years ago when Griffey was hurt all the fucking time and cards were selling for 15 cents on the dollar

Probably worth $$$ today as Griffey is still going to finish as one of the top 30 players of all time (IMO) and the card market has rebounded a bit

when you say "mint", I assume you mean unopened. in other words, does the set still have the plastic wrap on it?

yeah mint is pretty strict

they go over it with a fine tooth comb...if it has an oxygen molecue than its just 'near mint'

Also, if it is in fact unopened and you want to pull out the Griffey to put it in a case, do NOT use the cheap plastic cases that you slide the cards in. They almost always fuck up the edges of the card. Use the type that sandwiches the card

I have a pretty valuable collection of Torry Holt rookies, game worn jersey, and autographed cards. When he got drafted I snatched up every card I could find, and most of them are Gem Mint 10s. Hopefully he makes the Hall of Fame

check the link, some didn't even sell for $100 for all three sets.

I remember being like 13 and having the #1 Griffey in perfect condition(? they didn't do grading back then, haha). I traded it for an unopened box of 87 Fleer or something. It was worth around $150 then.

I still have all my cards and haven't looked through them in years.

I remember back in the day when I'd get cards for like $0.50 a pack, they had these 1985 Fleer basketball cards for like FIVE BUCKS A PACK...that was expensive back then...but if I knew what I know now I would've bought like $texas worth...Michael Jordan rookie, Charles Barkley, Pat Ewing, etc etc etc

I've got an autographed Mickey Mantle ball. Do I have to pay upwards of $100 to get it authenticated? That would blow if I'm unable to sell it on ebay.

I don't think anyone could ever authenticate my signature because its different everytime

I guess if you sign your names thousands of time, you probably have your sig pretty much down pat
