i always just bite them off. it bleeds and hurts like hell for a second but the wound goes away faster than the canker.

I used to get these all the freaking time when I was younger. I wish I'd known that b12/iron deficiencies were possible culprits. Now that I actually take care of my nutrition I haven't had one in a really long time.

I get them after eating sweets like hard candy or after eating really crunchy chips. I've found that drinking/swishing cold water regularly while I'm eating candy or chips will prevent a canker from forming.

Started getting these when eating fruit a number of years ago. Banana, pineapple, and cantaloupe are the worst offenders. Swishing with water helps, but also if the fruit is cooked or rolled in sugar it doesn't seem to be as bad. Also if I fall asleep without brushing my teeth I get them 90% of the time.Switching to Biotene toothpaste (no SLS) is a huge help when I get one as regular toothpaste feels like brushing with wasabi.

another good way to get rid of them is to use one of those really small toe-nail clippers and then just hack them off. Again, it bleeds and hurts for like 5 mins but then the canker is gone and doesnt bother you for a week.
