^The worst part was the Iran game. It's tuff to beat German in a World Cup, but losing to Iran in the 1998 World Cup was the ultimate low in US Soccer history. The game had the feel of a rivalry because of the Iranian Hostage Crisis in 1979. Iran vs USA was the first official "FIFA Fair Play Day" because of the political rivalry.

after playing til like 5am the other night....i think me and cody came to the conclusion that he is the c. ronaldo of the team with his fancy footwork and shooting for the corners. while i am the r. van nistelrooy of the team with my clinical finishing and straightforward approach to the goal. although i had a sick goal with andy cole performing a cut back to get the defender on the wrong foot then cruyff'd the ball back past him and another defender to get a 1v1 with the keeper in the box and scored upper 90 i believe...me and cody replayed that shit several times
