Has anybody here done this? I mean I know there are tutorials on the internet on how to do it, but I just dont feel comfortable doing it. I already have twillight princess and some DVD-Rs. I just want somebody who has done it before to do it to mine. I just want to be able to play a few backups and dvds

Let me know what your price is because I know it wont be free.

I've done it to a bunch of them. It really couldn't be easier, I promise, if you can read and follow simple instructions you can do it yourself. I would come take your $20 to do it for you, but I'm not local to Raleigh anymore.

Just go to http://softmii.org/v2/downloads and follow the instructions. It's not hard at all.

I did this when I had a Wii. If you follow the instructions online it is so easy that anyone with no tech experience could do it. You need an SD card for it (at least that's what i used). Basically put a save file you download online onto an SD card, and load that save file on the Wii in place of the PT save file you get when saving the game. That's more or less it.

It's something easy and safe enough to do that i dont know how people could charge to do it.

For the average person able to find the tech talk section of a college message board? yeah probably. For the average normal wii owner? eh, I'd say 50/50.

Plus a lot of people would rather drop $20 (or even $50) to just have someone do it and have it done. Yes, it's very easy, but if you're starting from nothing you'd still need to spend a couple of hours doing research on the best methods and exactly what you want to hack. There's installing the HBC, which literally takes less than a minute and then there's the full on softmodding which could take upwards of an hour or more if you run it through all the steps. For some people $20 is nothing to drop to be able to say "do this for me" and not have to worry about figuring it out for themselves no matter how easy it is.

I'd definitely pay 20 bucks to have it done

I've heard stories of people's modded Wii's getting bricked when Nintendo issues an update. Is there a chance of that happening to a soft modded Wii?
