well for me, that probably means the Jays will score like 10 runs in the bottom of the 9th

i feel like all my picks are sabotaged at the last minute (a la UF Tennis over Stanford)

^women's softball again? gross.

i'm going Heat over Mavs. i have a feeling the Mavs might win this one, but fuck it, the month is young and it's not like i'm going to go on a miraculous W27 streak for the $350k

W6 after 37 games or More.

Going to take SF tonight, I'm sure that'll bite me in the ass.

I'm taking Cleveland myself...Texas beat them yesterday by 3 I think but Cleveland had a couple of errors that led to some runs...and I like Masterson

I always try and avoid Friendly's. I think Detroit over CHW is a good pick, but I also like to avoid baseball. Basically I am just not picking today.

Generally I stay away from all soccer game...I'm just not really a fan and not knowledgeable at all about it. But I had been listening to the radio and hearing some opinions on the game and figured I might as well give this a shot. Glad I did...3-0 Spain at half.

Brazil tied Holland, so the guy at work who was at W5 lost. I might have a chance in the work pool yet! I won the Bulgaria bet today and am at W1. I had a good feeling that the USA would lose and I didn't even bother looking at the lineup. Even if I had, I don't like to bet against my own teams when I know they will lose.

I'm thinking SEA over TB today. But still a little unsure of it...If I make a pick today it will be SEA. I don't see anything else I like.

I wish they would have had some of the college rugby 7s games on the list yesterday and today. It takes about 20 minutes to play a game when you count entering the field, playing the two 7 minute halves, and taking a 2 (?) minute halftime break.

^Yeah it was on Universal, Vs, and NBC. Someone told me that during the Olympics they were playing and about every 2, or 3 minutes you could pick something because races and the track and swim meets don't last more than a a few minutes at most. Something like that would have been fun the past 2 days since they could fit two 7s matches into about a 40 minute time frame.

up to W6...don't see much tomorrow though. I'm clueless on the soccer matchups. I'm thinking of going with the Marlins, even though I think the pitching matchup favors the Brewers. I would just have a hard time picking the Brewers to complete the 4 game sweep against a pretty decent Marlins team.

The pitching matchup in the SEA v CWS game looks favorable for SEA. But Danks' numbers are decent home, he's just winless. That one may not be as easy as it looks...

Haha from a 1-1 tie (and a green) in the 87th minute to a 4-1 loss. Not good, Ukraine.

So I was interested in seeing how often the majority vote was correct last month. After doing the math, 53.86% of the time the majority vote was correct. The Minority vote was correct 46.14% of the time in May.

I have thought about doing stats on that too. Like what are the odds a 90%+ majority vote pans out, etc.

Oh yeah, I am fairly certain if you did stats on games 90% or higher it would be about 60/40 or so.

Interesting stats ^^^^. The props are definitely pretty even, even the ones the look obvious usually aren't as easy as they seem on the surface. I think ^ is pretty much right about the 90+% props...I don't know anything about soccer so I try to stay away from picking it, but I just from picking a few times and noticing the trends, I wouldn't be surprised if the minority vote getter actually won more often than not. Of course, I don't have the numbers in front of me and am too lazy to research it.

Anyway...I'm still at W6. I'm liking either the Angels over the Rays, or the Braves over the Marlins (but I have a hard time picking the Marlins to lose their 5th straight...they are a solid team. I just think the pitching matchup favors ATL). I'm definitely staying away from the BOS/NYY game as well as the SEA/CWS game. The pitching matchups look pretty even there.

Am I reading this prop wrong:
NBA Finals (Heat @ Mavericks Game 4): How many TOTAL POINTS will be SCORED?
10:15 PM

94 Points or Fewer -- 6.5%
95 Points or More -- 93.5%

Surely that's a typo...maybe points scored by halftime or something.

^They must've changed it. I figured it was a typo/error but was hoping they'd keep it up for the easy win haha.

I think I may go with fewer on that one. These games have been fairly low scoring with defense really being the key.

I'm being so indecisive. I was going to pick the Sylvia W or D but my hesitation stopped me.

Detroit over Seattle looks good. Verlander is a beast, and the AccuScore on ESPN gives them a 75% chance of winning.
