Old Chicago in Wake forest. not quite raleigh, but close.Manchester's at pinecrest pt. (corner of leesville and pinecrest rd) has what they claim to be chicago pizza. i'm not a chicago pizza aficionado, so i don't know if it's REAL and AUTHENTIC or whatever.

^^ my stepfather is from Chicago so we used to eat at Manchester's off Falls of the Neuse Rd. near 540, not sure if it moved (I think they have/had multiple locations). UNO's is at Brier Creek and its pretty good but if he wants the real deal he actually orders them from Chicago. Italian Beef sandwiches FTW (we order those too and they are actually perfect)[Edited on April 1, 2009 at 2:05 PM. Reason : .]

i always have to laugh at the douchebags who get all elitist about fucking pizza. it's fucking pizza for fucks sake. no matter how good it is, it ain't going to suck your dick.

No, there is no good Chicago deep dish in Raleigh. The "UNO Chicago Grill" chain does suck. It is not the same as "Pizzeria Uno". They sold out. Lou Malnati's is far superior to UNO's. You can order frozen Malnati's off their site. They ship them in dry ice. This is a far better option than having a southerner attempt to make it for you locally.Manchesters is your best bet for Chicago pizza but it's thin crust style. They were started by the dude who owned Jake's pizza on Algonquin in the NW suburbs. This is where my little league teams would go after games so I can vouch for it. I think MC's was sold but it's still the best I know of in Raleigh.

^^^ I ended up giving them to a coworker. There's no reason for a pizza place like that to have a C. Barbecue restaurants on the other hand...
