Anyone planning on going out there tomorrow? If anyone needs a ride Im looking for someone to ride with me so I can split some gas money. Ill be going out tomorrow but have to be back friday night so if you want to stay you may be able to find a ride with another asce member.

^ No I shouldn't. No money. Not worth the hassle of finding parking. Will be spending the day applying to a hell of a lot of positions as the geotechnical company I was speaking to is now just jerking me around and keeping me as a reserve option in case they can't find somebody with more experience who is desperate for work (and thus is cheap).

Socializing would be great, but I'm dysfunctional enough right now that I don't feel like going to a convention with a bunch of people at it that ends up triggering something. Making an ass of myself in front of potential employers would be bad.

I'll post, like I said, if they finally decide not to hire me. It sucks now that I know I'm being kept on as a "tolerable hire" instead of their first chioce.

I think the project I was gonna be working on got delayed so they have more time to go and find people to hire.

Damn, maybe if I'd managed to stay on I would've designed you all a t-shirt. I did all that other graphic faggy stuff for ASCE. Then NCSU nulled all that out by standardizing the websites, lol. Oh well, let me know how that goes. I sure as hell hope we win concrete canoe!

yes, the brick colored stain dried orange. we worked our asses of to fix it and ended up getting the stain a little darker. BUT! now that we have sealed it, the bricks darkened up a lot and it looks pretty damn good. no more orange!
