I had a 50 Million dollar note a few months ago.

I suppose now it's worth less than the paper it's printed on. It's sad how bad the inflation is there :/

do you think it can happen here? Obama aka Bush 44 and his team are continuing Bush 43 tactics. we're at like 2.5 Trillion now.

Note the logarithmic scale on the y-axis. If you unlogarithmized it and made it linear after 10^6, the y-axis would stretch 3 million LIGHT YEARS

I am not joking.

And if you make it linear after the first mark of 10, it would stretch 50 billion LIGHT YEARS.

And conversely, if you wanted the y-axis to be linear but the same size as you see it above, then the scale would look like this:

1 mm = 7 x 10^27

(of course this is all dependent on your monitor's resolution, but it won't vary too much)

I hope there are at least 100 people on TWW who can understand what I said.

heh... i love numbers, and doing useless calculations such as those

plus, i love facts involving big numbers, like the number of tablespoons of water in the pacific ocean, number of grains of sand on earth, etc.

^ Have you paid attention to the lastest budget proposal? The newest budget allocates about $3.7 tril. People are freaking out over it too. Meanwhile, Bush's last budget proposal was $3.1 tril and did not include expenses for the war. So, when looked at in perspective, it's not abnormal.

To answer the 'how fucked up are we' question; a debt of $1.3 tril was inherited by the current administration from the prior. Peter Orszag is predicting a $15 tril budget at the end of 10 years. That carrys out the $1.3 tril/yr out 10 yrs and allows for ~2.5% inflation. Long story short, you won't be seeing any trillion dollar bills in the United States any time soon.
