sorry about your dog. i remember when my childhood dog died. we had a basset hound named Lady who we got when I was 10. I took her out and fed her and cleaned up her poop and played with her a lot growing up. When I left for college, I didn't see her much anymore but I came back to town to get married and see her one last time. she died not too long after that. my parents have a little corner table in the kitchen where she used to sleep, with photos of her on it and a box with her ashes. it's nice to say hi to her when i come home to visit

My first dog was named Basil. My parents got him when I was an infant, and he promptly bit me in the face. But over the years we resolved our differences and I was sad when he passed.

Sorry about your Basil, which I'm sure was actually a, you know, good dog.

One of our dogs disappeared about a week ago into the Cape Fear River lowlands that make up most of our main farm. We haven't been able to find her, so I expect a snake bit her and she didn't survive it.

I am sooo sorry... I have an almost 6 year old and I occasionally get upset when I think about him getting old.

I am sooo sorry.. I wish we could have our little furbabies outlive us... but no one would take care of them.
