You are correct. He originally turned it down and then accepted.

Great hire for UofA. He was part of Herb's coaching staff, but he also coached under Thad Matta at Xavier before becoming head coach there. Looks like the deal is worth ~$2.4 mil a year plus a $1 million signing bonus.

Yeah....initially it was reported he turned it down but after 'sleeping on it' he accepted. Not sure if it was for drama sake because one of the people on our board claimed last thursday that on Monday Sean Miller would sign and that he had it from a high up source....but who knows.....

It's gonna be interesting to see Herb and him coach against each other next year
