Trailer came out last week, looks pretty damn funny. hopefully won't have as many catch phrases that people refuse to let go of as Borat though.

I heard a rumor about something he did for this movie, I don't know how much truth there is to it though. He went to some redneck town and handed out a bunch of fliers for a wrestling cage match and advertised the event as free and having something like $1 beers. A bunch of rednecks came out to see it, the wrestlers came out and got into the ring, then the cage came down. Instead of wrestling, the dudes started making out... they were two gay bodybuilders that Cohen had hired for the show, lol.

I've heard from SXSW screenings(I think?) that it makes Borat look like total garbage.

Which is understandable.

Borat does NOT hold up to repeat viewings, in my experience.

Just judging by the previews, it's another movie by Cohen where the show is that much better. Too many staged looking scenes. I think Borat and Bruno work so much better without attaching some story to it.

i agree with this, and i used to watch the Ali G show religiously back in the day. loved the Bruno character, but knew it wouldn't transcribe into cinematic form as well as Borat did. i can't imagine this is that funny. probably fairly predictable.

Watched it last night...

Had a few really funny moments, but I felt like everything was rushed. The skits were way too short and undeveloped.



Looking forward for the unrated DVD to come out.

Just saw it tonight. A few of the scenes were a bit over the top but all in all it was great. The part where he is casting child actors and interviewing the parents was absolutely hilarious. Also when he's cast as an extra for a TV show was really good.

I guess Borat was better because I didn't really know what to expect coming into it. I saw and read a lot about Bruno beforehand so I kind of knew what was coming at certain parts, but it was still definitely worth the time / money.
