I know they sell adapters that will let me put a standard thread on the reverse threaded right side mirror slot. But do they make adapters that will let you put a reverse threaded mirror into a standard thread? Asking because I am trying to trade mirrors with my buddy who rides a Honda Shadow, and I ride a Yamaha V-Star. And unless this particular adapter exists, he won't be able to use my right yamaha mirror (which is reverse threaded) on his honda. 4/7/2009 5:20:43 PM |

Why are the right mirrors reverse threaded? I ran into a set of these recently, and it just didn't make sense to me.
Now reverse thread on the left hand side makes perfect sense(which is how my yamaha is.) The wind blows the left mirror, it gets tighter. ------------------------- Maybe my yamaha is screwed up...
So hondas have reverse thread on the left mirror?

^ On Hondas both are standard threads. I've owned 2 different Yamaha cruisers. Both of them were reverse threaded on the right and regular on the left. 4/8/2009 10:37:37 AM |

they are made to break lose if you hit something instead of remaining rigid, any machine shop could make an adapter for you 4/8/2009 12:29:01 PM |
