Has anyone here ever done it? What company did you get your bulb from? I'm looking at electrified.com and I think I may just get the complete housing and pay the extra money, instead of running the risk of messing this up. I'm replacing a Toshiba 56HM66, btw.

I replaced a bulb in a DLP projector once. But somehow I doubt that's really relevant here.

I did it recently in fact.

I ordered from http://www.lamps-dlp.com/

They shipped fast and I had it installed in 5 minutes.

I did mine a few months ago. I ordered my lamp from http://www.lamps-dlp.com also. They were sold out of the one in the housing so I just got one without and swapped the bulb itself.

Mine took about 15 minutes, but that was because swapping the bulb in the housing took twice as long as getting the housing out of the TV. Very easy even without the housing.

If you're replacing just the bulb, make sure you don't touch the glass at all. Other than that, I don't think it'd be too hard.

I replaced the lamp in my 52HM84 once.
