As much as people talk about him being clever and edgy, you have to remember that at least every other single is bubble gum pop crap like "My Name Is".

one of the producers in his camp posted on his twitter for us to "not worry" because relapse is going to be: "an ill dark album, be patient"

so i take that as he is gonna go back to the way he USED to rap before he became terrible.



plus his singles are always like this.. look at the singles even from the good albums, they were usually goofy pop singles, so hopefully the rest of the album he raps without the annoying voice.

the cd is good, it's not a classic album, but its good. it has some filler tracks in there, but for the most part i like it.

Deja Vu, Beautiful, Stay Wide Awake, Underground, 3AM, Bagpipes from Baghdad are all really solid tracks

my mom is ok for the verses, the chorus is a little too weird for my liking.

Medicine Ball is fairly solid.

yeah he is a lyrical genius, his flow is unreal.

The subject matter on this album isn't so great though. as much as i love the slim shady side of him, it's good for a couple songs, not a whole album, i like the serious songs with meaning (when im gone, toy soldiers, cleaning out my closet, lose yourself, 8 mile road etc...)

he was going through a heavy drug problem so i can see why that side of him came out in the studio, but im hoping relapse 2 is more serious


i still think relapse is a very solid album, just based off his lyrical skills and delivery, the dude is one of the best ever.
