I did my HI 479 research paper on the Sierra Leone Civil War. It's a pretty sad story, but it's also cool to see that people didn't let it stop them from enjoying life.

there was an espn documentary about the Homeless World Cup last year. I vaguely remember laughing at some USA kid with a temper. He kept getting sent off with a "blue card" (2 minute penalty)

^and there was that keeper from Ireland that had to take methadone before the game so he wouldnt go through heroin withdrawal.

The most interesting part were the different stories of homelessness and how the homeless are treated differently in different countries.
