That uses 3/4-16 thread, a gasket (2.834 od, 2.462 id), and is shorter than 3 inches, also narrower than 3 inches too would be great.

This is why: 302 swapped into a toyota truck, motor mounts hits regular filter (ph8a) that was on it. so whoever put it on/i guess put the motor in just dented the shit so it would work.

I need a shorter/skinnier filter so that it will clear and screw on.

I've looked through wix stuff and it looks like a few might work, but some of the gaskets are slightly smaller, will that matter?

i would but it's not my truck and the dude probably will want to do it cheaply, but i'll run it by him.

i end up continually shaking my head looking at the ghetto shit that the whoever did the swap did.

the 51311 is the only one that will work, two of the others are lawnmower filters, and the last is not a full flow

its a volvo filter btw, also, you should know that jeep filters are 3/4-16, same size and a tad over 3"

[Edited on April 11, 2009 at 10:36 PM. Reason : 51311 is the shorter filter used by ford and chrysler from 70's to 90's]^ shorter than the standard 518

[Edited on April 11, 2009 at 10:37 PM. Reason : and the 51311 has the correct gasket size, bypass pressure, etc.]
