Didn't see this posted anywhere but if a mod feels it needs to be moved into one of the BB threads then I understand.

BlackBerry App World opened in early April but hasn't been advertised as much as one would think. I just wrote an article for a site called Gear Patrol with a review and links to get the download and recommendations on apps. Hope you guys enjoy!

I downloaded it but haven't really used it much. I looked through the app list and most of the ones i was interested in, I already have and the pay apps look kinda meh. Only app I got from it was GPSTracker which is pretty nifty and uses the internal gps to send out the phone's location at specified intervals which shows where your phone has been.

Yeah I haven't bought any apps yet but have gotten a couple good free ones, I didn't realize until recently that Pandora was available for BB and it's played well on my Curve. Thought people would be interested in the App World since I haven't really seen it advertised much yet (might be because BB is still working out the kinks).

Yeah, I have no intentions on paying for an app so I'm all about the free ones. iheartradio is a pretty good app for streaming actual radio stations. I can now listen to bob and the showgram on my Storm with one click.

The speed test app is free, but its kinda pointless. I mean its cool and all to get an acurate speed test of EDGE, but I already knew its slow as balls.

I wish they'd get a fucking new version of aim for the storm that didn't have the "I'm too stupid to know if I've lost connection" bug.

I'm not really an appwhore so the only apps I have installed are weatherbug(resource hog, may switch to bbweather), iheartradio, youmail(free visual voicemail), GPS Tracker(good if phone gets lost/stolen or just to play with).

i just got trapster. It uses gps + their own map of known police speed traps to notify you when you get close. We'll see if it has some of the red light cameras I know of on the way home. I live in maine though so I'm not expecting much.

How do you change themes on a curve8300?

I downloaded this: http://kotaku.com/5218452/pip+berry-3000

and I can't figure out how to install it. It doesn't show up in my theme list.

Halp.
