It takes a whileFor the first 24 years of my life it was never a big deal But now its becoming almost second natureDo the rest of you stop your pursuits completely when you see a ring on herof do you just change up your approach ?
4/14/2009 9:47:29 AM
since i got married i notice them much more - before then i never did
4/14/2009 9:48:07 AM
^ same here
4/14/2009 9:48:38 AM
i always notice and look if im interested and then i will no longer pursue and move on
4/14/2009 9:50:59 AM
yeah well if you're trying to score than it helps to know whether there's a goalie or its an open net
4/14/2009 9:51:02 AM
actually i've gotten good responses before with women who wear wedding rings. I think its because they don't get hit on much. some times it pans out. some times it doesn't.
4/14/2009 9:56:18 AM
^ good flirty response or back home in bed response - i can't imagine slave famous is checking for wedding rings to see who will give him the best conversation
4/14/2009 9:57:09 AM
I started to notice them after I got engaged. I do check for them, but the lack of a ring doesn't necessarily mean anything. My husband and I rarely wear our rings.
4/14/2009 9:57:20 AM
My main crop is still the college girls but occasionally I like to branch out, and with women in their late 20's and 30's, marriage is more prevalentNow I wish pilgrimshoes was here because I'm sure he'd have some sage advice...his median fuck age is like 36.2
4/14/2009 10:01:33 AM
^^both.the former is almost always taking place, though. if you do well with the former sometimes you can move on with the latter, just like with anyone else. then again, to be fair. one girl was wearing her ring and her husband and her had recently become separated. either way, wearing a ring is no reason to stop.
4/14/2009 10:01:45 AM
I check for them but probably to see who is married... and then it makes me feel because I don't have one on my finger...
4/14/2009 10:04:43 AM
it's just like playing on expert mode
4/14/2009 10:05:01 AM
this time last year i was trying on rings! oh how times change
4/14/2009 10:05:35 AM
i went to dinner and noticed the waitress wearing one while the other guy in the group didn't.he says he even looked for one.so maybe its selective sight or something...
4/14/2009 10:14:41 AM
4/14/2009 10:53:39 AM
if they get involved with you then they're clearly not that committed, imo.
4/14/2009 10:54:51 AM
heh
4/14/2009 10:55:59 AM
the other person pursuing is a whole different conversation IMOhe was asking if you stop yourself...i would stop myself / i cant help it if the girl couldnt stop herselfthen, things would be different and i would see that she was a slut and really didnt care about therelationship. as long as she isnt married to a football player or MMA fighter then its all good
4/14/2009 11:05:09 AM
I don't look because I don't need to. Why would I talk to a girl who isn't my wife?
4/14/2009 11:08:30 AM
yeah i've never noticed, before or after getting married
4/14/2009 11:30:01 AM
If I see a ring on a 20-something thats a big red flag. Sure they'll be flirty because they're out with the girls having a good time and like the attention, but chances are they've been married for a couple of years or less and aren't prepared to nonchalantly cheat with some guy they meet in a bar.
4/14/2009 11:49:10 AM
if i'm single, i wear a fake engagement ring when i go out. if i see someone worth looking at, i take it off. kohl's has some killer fake shit, ladies.
4/14/2009 11:53:50 AM
i look for wedding rings without thinking. It's almost a 6th sense.
4/14/2009 11:55:04 AM
Oh man, but if you meet a 20-something who got married at 18 and just got divorced you've found a fucking goldmine.
4/14/2009 12:01:54 PM
4/14/2009 12:06:11 PM
it's working smarter, not harder.
4/14/2009 12:09:22 PM
4/14/2009 12:14:37 PM
hahaha... i lurk in dark corners.
4/14/2009 12:22:10 PM
girls are tricks with the ring thing. One of my friend's friends came to a party last summer and was engaged......she took her ring off before the party because she "wanted to have fun". Tricks...
4/14/2009 12:23:43 PM
i have friends that wear fake engagement rings but that is too much effort for me. i THOUGHT about it when i waited tables at woody's, but i never got around to getting one. plus i don't know who it turns off--i feel like the kind of people i'd want to keep away wouldn't be deterred by a ring haha.the problem with looking for rings on men is they seem to take them off more than women. or a lot of them just don't like rings. AND how can you tell if a guy is engaged? you can't...unless you find out the hard way. i mean not that this happens to me, i was thinking about it the other day.
4/14/2009 12:24:40 PM
4/14/2009 12:26:51 PM
it's not the first thing i look for, but it definitely makes me reel in my game if i see it
4/14/2009 12:27:15 PM
OMG it's seapunky!
4/14/2009 12:46:40 PM
haha.. i'm surprised anyone remembers me. there seems to be much n00bage around tdub.
4/14/2009 12:47:16 PM
What have you been up to? You haven't graced chit chat with your presence in a while.Oh, and I never even think to look for wedding rings. The majority of the girls I look for shouldn't be married yet anyway. Once I'm out trolling for 30+ I'll start scanning the hands.[Edited on April 14, 2009 at 12:50 PM. Reason : asdfadf]

I remember seapunky from her first tour of tww, back in like 2001.

4/14/2009 12:56:34 PM
oooh just up to my usual casserole of deviance... what about you?and thanks, gunzz... i am glad to know i'm occupying some space that could be better filled with trivia that might actually help you on jeopardy.
4/14/2009 1:06:53 PM
Rings only mean they are married, not that they are exclusive.
4/14/2009 1:35:21 PM
It became second nature to me after I graduated college. I got to where I can pick that shit out in a double mirror at the gym.And yes, it was an instant disqualifier.
4/14/2009 3:53:17 PM
an instant disqualification is made when a guy hits on a girl that has a ring on her finger. that shows a lack of respect for the sanctity of marriage.
4/14/2009 4:33:52 PM
Fuck sanctityin this day and agethats like the smallest hurdle in any pursuit
4/14/2009 4:38:46 PM
DISQUALIFIED
4/14/2009 4:40:02 PM
I'll take it like Rasheed and say FUCK YOU TOO
4/14/2009 4:41:17 PM
4/14/2009 6:28:13 PM
4/14/2009 7:14:51 PM

It became so ingrained for me that I damn near had a heart attack when I glimpsed one on my bed partner, on our wedding night. It is harder for women since so many men don't wear them or tend to hide them. I just got to the point where I'd assume they were married until proven single.
4/14/2009 7:55:19 PM
^ sup yo?
4/14/2009 9:29:09 PM
yeah, i don't really plan on wearing mine much, if ever. i hate wearing watches, rings, etc. and i probably won't be allowed to wear it at work either. deemarie will just have to be cool with that.
