At 3500+ pages and nearly 180k posts, the thread is taking a long time to load, when you post it takes a few seconds to catch up and actually post, and more often than not I get an OH SHIT! INTERNAL SERVER ERROR when attempting to post.

Let's lock it, tuck it away, and let someone create a new one, eh?

I didn't know page load times were dependent on thread length. I assumed it had more to do with the content on a particular page, and if replyinh, the content on the first page...

Am I the only one who remembers when several really long threads like that (the original what are you thinking thread--and probably v2 of it--the "what song are you listening to" thread, etc) got deleted back about four-ish years ago? We were told it was ok to make new threads on the same topic, but that they were deleting them because there were load time issues or cacheing issues or something else semi-technical that I don't recall.

So this seems like a legitimate suggestion to me. I don't have problems with loading it, and it sounds like not many others do, but based on past history, it's not an unprecedented issue.
