it's a shame we only see market value in "pretty" people

that woman is amazing...she's significantly more real than the vast majority of artists today whose only talent is a nice set of boobs and long legs (not that those are to be discounted ) with a not-awful voice thrown in

well, it seems to me that less-attractive men tend to make it farther than less-attractive women (or, rather, they their level of attractiveness is more overlooked than in women)...women are judgmental and catty when it comes to other women and men think with their penises, which is why a less-attractive man seems to do better (IMO) than a less-attractive woman (when it comes to something like this)

all that said, the trend in recent years seems to be a bit more forgiving...especially in a show like "britain's got talent" compared to "american idol"...american idols HAVE to be pretty (otherwise, why would tweens idolize you?), but the "got talent" shows focus more on abilities, or so it seems to me
