Rumors on this since last year when Collinsworth called that game in Tampa

I say Collinsworth takes over and Millen stays in the studio, or vice versa

either way, Millen will have a prominent role

Are you serious? It's hard to beat Madden. Even though he was getting up there in age, I still thought he was better than 90% of the other commentators out there. The combo of him and Al was great. I don't mind Collinsworth, but he makes smart ass comments on just about every play and it starts to wear on me around halftime.

^I've been pushing for zero commentating for years. The void would be filled by placing microphones throughout the stadium. You just tune in and hear the roar of the crowd.

Agreed. Michaels/Madden were my favorite broacasting team by far. Glad Michaels isn't hanging it up just yet, but John will be Missed.

I would LOVE this. Apparently for some sporting events in the UK they have this option for a lot of games, I don't understand why nobody has tried it yet. I don't think it would work out to do this on the regular audio channel because some people would be lost or get bored, but on SAP it would be perfect.

I would really love it if networks could figure out how to do it for the NHL playoffs, that's really when I want to hear the crowd
