I ran it until it was out of gas but when I flipped it on its side, I could see that it was still alive. waiting.

Some folks call it a sling blade, I call it a kaiser blade.

I just stuck my hand in there and pulled the shit out all the time when I cut lawns in high school

the blade isn't going anywhere... and even if it did start up all of the sudden most lawnmowers putter for a few seconds. long enough, anyway, for you to pull your mangled but attached hand out.

I did the same thing in high school, but since then I've developed a certain fondness for my limbs.

I doubt a mower has enough oomph to cut through your hand/wrist. Someone else try that out and let me know.

My Dad lost half of his middle finger on one hand when he was a teenager from doing this. Apparently he was mowing damp grass with an electric (and weak) lawnmower, and whenever it would get clogged he'd push the clog through to get it going again. Well, I guess he messed up and put his hand too far in once.

So now on one hand his middle finger doesn't really have a knuckle.

really good mowers spin the blades fast enough that they don't get those buildups

it has nothing to do with quality

it's how much throttle you put to the engine

run it faster, the blade spins faster, but it uses more gas

i'm talking professional, son

spin a cheap mower at WOT and a professional mower at WOT and you'll still have buildups on the cheap one, but not on a high quality mower

My small engines teacher in middle school had a friend who fixed the blade on his mower and stuck his hand under the mower to see if the blade was turning. He only has 2 fingers on that hand now.

I always thought that starting a lawn-mower, flipping it over and then jumping onto it would be one of the most baller ways to commit suicide

preferably in a public place

maybe if you got a really powerful lawn-mower, it would do the job
that would be a good question to ask the folks at Home Depot

It's almost as bad as sticking your hand down a garbage disposal to get something out. You know it's off but it's just a switch away from ruining your fucking life.

What's wrong with just spraying it out with a garden hose? That's what I did when I mowed in high school w/ my grandpa.

point is, it doesnt break, its all fluid driven, very few mechanical parts, nothing to wear

that makes as much sense as saying, that new car is nice, but the first time it rapes your daughter, its gonna suck

considering it has better reliability, it is easier to replace components and parts are cheaper than a standard transaxle, what the fuck is your point?
