Has anyone taken a lit class with Lisk? is attendance really enforced in that class? does he really drop a letter grade for each additional absence you miss after two?

right... nice sarcasm. That's not my point, I've missed three classes total, it doesn't seem like he takes attendance, but he might just does it in his head? So I'm wondering if he really will drop a letter grade for that

I had him as an MA student, and he never seemed to care much about attendance then. Plus, he's a pretty easygoing guy (which you'd know if you went to class). Then again, if your grade sucks, and you try to appeal, he can point to his attendance policy & tell you to STFU.

Most faculty include attendance policies b/c of departmental requirements, and English is pretty harsh.

i had him for poetry writing...i think he did do attendance in his head or something like that, he was really in tune with all of his students' writing

you can't get an A+ with your grades though, you have to show how you are absolutely exceptionally above average

yeah Lisk seems to take the whole C = average thing pretty seriously
