I know only what I read on apartment-ratings.com. Looks like that place is now under new management which has resulted in some property improvements being made. Also looks like parking there is utter shit unless you have a reserved space.
I'd consider going elsewhere just for better parking alone. God knows you can't get by without a car around here. 4/23/2009 3:40:19 PM |

I have lived at Cameron Court (next door, same owners, very similar apartments) for nearly a year. I have never had a single problem with parking. I also am terrible at parallel parking, so that means I have never had a time where I wasn't able to find a spot at least 2 cars long for my dumbass to pull into. 4/23/2009 4:01:36 PM |

Had a friend who lived there a long time back. Nice green spaces, the place had a lot of character with hardwood floors, but the rooms were small and the kitchen was tiny. Also at the time it had window units, not central A/C. All that notwithstanding thought it was nice...but this was like 7 years ago mind you. 4/23/2009 7:53:57 PM |

They are installing central heating and air in each unit presently. May have already finished. 4/23/2009 8:17:08 PM |

Recently renovated, extremely nice. A good $100 more expensive per month than Cameron Court if things haven't changed in the last year. 4/23/2009 10:35:20 PM |

I'm in Shelton. Nice courtyard, apartments are old but in good condition overall, and you don't hear too much noise from neighbors. Yes, the kitchens are small, but nothing you can't deal with.
Also, the rent's cheaper than it would otherwise be because there's no central A/C, but they're turning on the central A/C in the next month or so. Wouldn't be surprised if rent goes up at some point soon to the level of Cameron Ct, so right now's a good time to sign on.
As for parking... if you don't get lucky and get an assigned spot, it's still easy to park on the street and walk 100 feet or whatever. 4/23/2009 10:37:28 PM |
