Muslims don't have to commit terrorism to take over the world. All they have to do is immigrate into democratic countries and have 8 kids.

What do you suggest we do if this is a problem?

I might as well expound and not waste a post: you do realize that if we start limiting immigration by Muslims, we'll be keeping out some of our greatest minds, right? The majority of immigrants from the Middle East come here on visas for those with high levels of skill who are pursuing PhDs, high-level employment, etc.

If you make this place hostile to Muslim immigrants, you're likely to scare them off. Good job, hope you're ready to find some way to make American kids have the sort of worth ethic the rest of the developing world seems to have with regards to advanced degrees.

We need more immigrants, with preference to those with high levels of skill. Not fewer.

I'm in grad school with 3 guys from Pakistan right now. They'll be going back to Pakistan with their degrees. Perhaps if we gave them incentive to stay here, say the proper work visas or employment opportunities, they'd stay and contribute their skills in the computer field to our IT profession.

No, forget that, they might bring more Moooslems with them, can't have that.

This is not a problem for America. In Europe you might be right, but as PinkandBlack said most muslims coming to the US are hardly a drain on society, and they certainly aren't extremist or radical.

Fundamental concept of Islam:

Allah created mankind to worship Him.

(from the Qur'an)

^^ They are talking about the objective 'death' of a culture, where culture refers to a particular group of people, in this case, the White American/European culture. It is a bunch of simple calculations to find out what the fertility rate needs to be to carry the particular race on perpetually.

It may be your opinion that Christianity is more retarded, but is it more dangerous? If it is your opinion that to love your neighbor is retarded and/or dangerous then I guess that's you. But it's my opinion that if everyone loved their neighbor, this world would be a better place. This country was founded by Christians like our founding fathers that you can see from my thread about "Obama is right." Now the Middle East has been shaped my Muhammaden Islam for 1400 years and look at where they are today. They are trying to go back to the 7th century. I think you are retarded for saying that.

article 11 of the treaty of tripoli, written and signed by some of those dang christian founding fathers
Quote :
" Art. 11. As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquillity, of Mussulmen; and, as the said States never entered into any war, or act of hostility against any Mahometan nation, it is declared by the parties, that no pretext arising from religious opinions, shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries."

Your militancy flies in the face of this. You can't say that it would be nice if everyone would follow that and then only advocate it when it's convenient. Loving your neighbor was never a part time command from Christ.

Who said I don't love my neighbor. I'm good to everyone, even to Muslims. I just don't believe in their Ideology. Especially when it says to chop off people's heads if they don't believe Allah is the way. So put it this way I love everyone. But if I disagree with them, I'll let them know.

You do know that Jesus Christ said "Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I came to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and a man’s enemies will be the members of his household. He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who has found his life will lose it, and he who has lost his life for My sake will find it." -Matthew 10:34-39

So when the bible says to love your enemy, that means generally love and care for people. But that doesn't mean you can't confront someone who is wrong and not be a complete pushover. Btw I know I'm not perfect and I am not the best judge for things, but Jesus Christ got militant too when it came to throwing out the money changers in the temple and stuff like that.

jignc, I would like to speak on behalf of all the various Christians who post in the Soap Box:

Thanks a ton for drawing more insults and condemnations to our religion by posting this stuff. Really. We did not get nearly enough before you came here -- we were in a disapproval drought, parched for want of a few more comparisons to fascists and lunatics. Spiritually it was very troubling; you'll recall Jesus' words, "No man shall come to the Lord except by taking shit from atheists on the internet."

As soon as you posted this garbage, you implied that there was a "problem" with a limited number of "solutions." Of these, almost all are repugnant -- the targeted expulsion, killing, banning, or controlled breeding of Muslim people specifically. These would all make you a horrible and very un-Christian person. The only possible "solution" that doesn't make you fucking evil is a targeted increase in Christian reproduction, which on second thought actually still makes you pretty fucking evil, just not quite as much.

You didn't actually suggest any of these things, but clearly you hoped to find support for one or some of them. Otherwise, why post this? Clearly you think it's a bad thing that the Muslim population in certain countries is increasing. That in and of itself makes you a bad person, but what's really scary is apparently you came in here expecting and hoping that someone else would take the bulk of the flak by suggesting a way to fix it.

You don't love everyone. And if you're actually good to everyone, "even to Muslims," then you're doing so begrudgingly and thus missing the entire point. Going through the motions just to kiss God's ass doesn't get you anywhere. You suck at Christianity. You suck at the internet. You suck at life.

And like most oft-quoted passages used to promote the Christian right, this one is misused, misinterpreted, taken out of context, etc. Then again, you'd probably consider me a heretic (non-evangelical, non-literal Christian, not a believer in this strange "cosmic war" between Christianity and Islam) so take it for what it's worth

He's not literally saying "get a sword and come fuck shit up with me, we gonna take out some evildoers".

Jesus upset the order. He opposed the establishment of Israel. He was revolutionary in the sense that what he taught threw the Jewish establishment upside down and into a tizzy. He was getting in the face of the Jewish establishment and peacefully saying "I am the way, what I bring is the enlightened truth, you are not the way". That's what he was saying here. There are plenty of other instances of him doing such things.

Now where are the other instances of him saying "stand up and fight physically"? If you quote that passage from the temple and the money changers I'm gonna laugh.

Of course we have to defend ourselves, which is what we will do if we're attacked, and letting in more Muslim citizens is not an attack.

Sometimes a person comes onto this site and posts as though they were mentally challenged, and I get all upset, and then I go back and think, "Oh wow, they were just trolling me, I'm such a fool."

But then I sit back and realize the true number of these posters, and the dedication with which some of them post, and I realize they can't all be trolls.

Then I have to figure out which ones are which, and it makes my head hurt, so I open the liquor cabinet and self-medicate until I can't remember what I'm upset about.

jignc, it's not very Christian of you to contribute to a person's alcoholism.

You do know that he also said, "Put your sword back into its place; for all those who take up the sword shall perish by the sword."

and

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you."

and

"Blessed are the peacemakers"

and said, "Peace be with you" and "Go in peace" frequently throughout the Gospels.

Though to be honest I'm pretty sure in that one quote "peacemakers" refers specifically to "people who hear jignc1684 talk and manage not to punch him in the fucking throat."

When he said sword, it wasn't meant literal. The sword is his word and the truth. The fact of the matter is people hate hearing the truth because it begs people to change and realize they are wrong. And nobody likes admitting that they are wrong. So his word like a sword causes a division among people just like it did when Jesus brought it.

I'll have you know that the garbage that I posted came directly from the bible. So if you are concerned with how how people view you as a christian. And if you are worried on how they insult you, then maybe the problem is with you?

Yeah, I understand that. What I don't understand is how that quote, properly understood, relates in any way to this thread. But honestly? Don't answer that. I don't care. I don't give a flying fuck. I want you to respond to the rest of my first post. That is what I want to see an answer to. This thread isn't about scripture nearly as much as it is about you being a bigot.

Quote :

No, the garbage you posted came from youtube and your own screwed-up head. The Bible quote itself is fine. Everything else you've posted: garbage.

And I'm not actually worried about insults or the rest, though it does get obnoxious when insults come my way because of my association with a so-called Christian who spews hate and ignorance.

I'm not spewing hate or ignorance. I'm spewing the truth. I'm sorry you and everyone else can't stand that. I'm beginning to take the label bigot as a complement. I honestly don't care what you or anyone else think about me as long as I am right.

Do you think the bible has anything good to say about Muslims? I'll start off light.

Quote :
"17 Why, O LORD, do You cause us to stray from Your ways
And harden our heart from fearing You?
Return for the sake of Your servants, the tribes of Your heritage.
18 Your holy people possessed Your sanctuary for a little while,
Our adversaries have trodden it down.
19 We have become like those over whom You have never ruled,
Like those who were not called by Your name.
-Isaiah 63:17-19"

Line 18 sounds familiar ever heard of the "Dome of the Rock" the abomination of desolation set up on the wing of the Temple grounds, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him. (Daniel 9:27 NIV)?

Quote :
"1 O God, do not remain quiet;
Do not be silend and, O God, do not be still.
2 For behold, Your enemies make an uproar,
And those who hate You have exalted themselves.
3 They make shrewd plans against Your people,
And conspire together against Your treasured ones.
4 The have said, "Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation,
That the name of Israel be remembered no more."

5 For they have conspired together with one mind;
Against You they make a covenant:
6 The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites,
Moab and the Hagrites;
7 Gebal and Ammon and Amalek,
Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;
8 Assyria also has joined with them;
They have become a help to the children of Lot.

9 Deal with them as with Midian,
As with Sisera and Jabin at the torrent of Kishon,
10 Who were destroyed at En-dor,
Who became as dung for the ground.
11 Make there nobles like Oreb and Zeeb
And all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,
12 Who said, "Let us possess for ourselves
The pastures of God."

13 O my God, make them like the whirling dust,
Like chaff before the wind.
14 Like fire that burns the forest
And like a flame that sets the mountains on fire,
15 So pursue them with your tempest
And terrify them with Your storm.
16 Fill their faces with dishonor,
That they may seek Your name, O LORD.
17 Let them be ashamed and dismayed forever,
And let them be humiliated and perish,
18 That they may know that You alone, whose name is the LORD,
Are the Most High over all the earth.
-Psalm 83
"

Who are the Ishmaelites? Isn't it any more obvious that it's the Muslims and most of the nations surround Israel?
