Is it one of those things that you use just for internet?

I've been toying with the idea of getting one of those things. Easier to carry around than a full size laptop, plus all I do is use Excel/Word and the internet when I'm out and about so its not like I need a ton of processing power.

Plus, I hear they're easy to steal from Target, lol

netbooks are overrated. my wife had a 11" a couple years ago and i hated it. 13" is minimum size for me (not including my iphone. i use that as a laptop replacement for web browsing all the freakin time)

its dimensions roughly match that of a half-inch wide toaster

im using my Eee PC right now

its totally worth it imo. its slow and tiny and cramping and small HDD , but its very very cheap and the battery lasts a long time. the HDD is also solid state, so you can really beat the piss out of it and it will survive.
i dont keep any sensitive files on it so i dont even worry about viruses or anything and just surf where i please
if it crashes, just re-install

oh get the XP version . vista will turn it into a paperweight

You'll get used to it. I was using an Eee PC for a while, it was a 10" screen. It's so damn small, but then you get used to it and it's only moderately annoying. And then a 12" screen looks huge.

And yeah, the battery life ROCKS. That's the one thing I miss.
