I need to get a storage unit for the summer to fit my full sized bed, recliner, boxes of kitchen stuff, a dresser, desk, and misc. boxes. two questions:

what size would be best?

and

what self-storage place in raleigh has the best deal? Do any have student discounts?

i'll be around the nc state area for the summer, but if there's a huge difference in price I don't necessarily have to have something close by.

Most of the storage sites have little calculators on their websites that will let you know what size is best. I fit my entire house into a 10X10, and that's including a washer and dryer, queen sized bed, huge couch and loveseat, desk, dresser, 46 inch TV, and tons of other furniture and boxes. I think for a 1 bedroom appartment without any appliances, you should be able to get away with the size smaller than the one I got

I'm in Greensboro, but I got a pretty good deal on mine. I got the first 2 months for $70, then $70 per month. Most of them around here are doing first month free or first month for $1.

Here is a good storage calculator that will help you decide what size you need. My guess is you could get by wit the 5X10
