cobbler is easy as fuck to make

cup each of flour, sugar, milk
stick of butter
cap of vanilla
2 or 3 cups of fruit

mix everything but the fruit. grease the pan. put in the fruit. pour the mix on top

bake it til it's brown

i think i have everything to do it. although all i have is canned peaches. fresh would be a lot better. and i'm not sure if i have enough milk. all food lion had when i went there yesterday went out of date tomorrow.

[Edited on May 3, 2009 at 1:35 AM. Reason : blueberries, peaches, cherries, etc.]

[Edited on May 3, 2009 at 1:36 AM. Reason : btw i usually just cut the butter up in pieces and scatter it on top. too hard to mix it up.]

i think at harris teeter they have these frozen "apple blossoms" or something like that
and they are essentially little packed apple crisps, you just put them in the oven for like 15 min or something

they are AWESOME with vanilla icecream

oh man, my grandmother used to make apple turnovers, but she called them apple jacks. they were awesome.

my grandmother is still alive, but now unable to cook. i'd give anything for one more of her Sunday dinners.

the # of apples required for that would be like one 3.99 bag of apples, PLUS misc other things, in your case milk

my granny makes apple jacks too, but they're not as good as the ones that one of my grandaddy's sisters makes. i can't remember which sister it is, but damn hers are good. i always get one of them first at the family reunion and hide it so no one will steal it.

[Edited on May 3, 2009 at 1:55 AM. Reason : nah man. about 4 or 5 apples would be fine. i can get a bag of like 20 for that at sam's]

blackberries are $texas. is it too early for peaches? i mean the real local kind, not the ones shipped from florida or south america or wherever. not familiar with jawja.

ladies and gentlemen, i give you blackberry cobbler!

there were no peaches to be found, local or otherwise, so i used a whole package of frozen blackberries. i think next time i'll increase the fruit/breading ratio, but overall a success.

his picture looked kinda goopy...so it seems like he'd want more breading

he wants cobbler, not fruit and sugary flower soup
