ok, so let me ask - when did your inspection expire?

this is how this "new rule" works now...as soon as your inspection expires, you have to go get your car inspected. at that point, they will take the sticker off and your car's inspection will now be due when your registration is due.

for example, my car inspection is up in april 2009. my registration is up in september 2009. at the end of april, i get my car inspected. my car inspection is now good until september 2010 (because they won't make your inspection last less than a year).

if your inspection was up in march or april, and you have not gotten your car inspected since the inspection expired, then you are in fact driving with an expired inspection. you have to get your car inspected when the sticker expires before it'll be linked with your registration.

regardless, get it inspected before your court date, go in with proof that it's inspected, and you'll get it thrown out - though still likely have to pay court costs.

nah, depending on the two dates (registration and inspection) they extended some inspections past the date marked on the sticker

i got 10 months of inspection for free. some work like that^^ and some work like mine.

get your car inspected by the end of May. at which point they'll take your sticker off and it will henceforth be linked to your registration. you won't have to get it inspected again this August, but likely next August.
