Thinkpad T30 laptop for sale. Dropped and not working anymore.
$10 OBO (to the techtalk guys who have the know how to replace the mobo)
Gives 1-3-3-1 beep code. Did the research and found out it was either bad memory dimm or mobo. So, I replaced the memory, but still gives same beep code. Sometimes it doesn't give any beep code. Won't post boot. Looked around for mobo's online, but most of them go for $150 and up. Not worth the repair in my mind. Plus, I'm not sure it will work after the mobo replacement. I told him he's going to just have to buy a new laptop.
case has small crack on bottom from the drop. Remember, this is owned and used by an older retired couple for the past 7-8 years. Everything else is in great shape for a laptop of this age. 5/6/2009 2:06:50 PM |

T30's have a known fault where one of the memory slots goes bad. Try using ram in only one slot or the other and I'll bet it'll work. 5/6/2009 2:33:20 PM |

Yes it includes a warranty. The warranty states:
If for any reason you should not be able to fix the broken computer then you are SOL. Thank you. 5/6/2009 5:49:25 PM |
