I have had bloody mucus in my left nostril for about 5 months. This all started after I had two unwarranted nosebleeds in January. I have allergies, but they're mild. I don't do cocaine or any other drugs for that matter. I just notice that whenever I blow my nose, sneeze, hock a loogie, etc. there are trace amounts of blood in the mucus. Does anyone have any explanation for this? I am very physically active, mostly cardio.

you waited 5 months so far, just hold off another couple months/years

You'll probably have to have your nose amputated to fix this. Sorry.

I used the webmd symptom checker and it brought up sinusitis... It also brought up pre-leukemia Seeing as its a wide range of shit, I would suggest just going to a doctor

obviously you have some very shallow or weak capillaries in your nose that stay ruptured. this can be fixed by having the offenders cauterized. maybe they`ll give you some cocaine first to numb it up

I can't do drugz. I'm about to go to training, dawg. As for not going to the doctor, it doesn't seem like that big of a deal. I'm just curious, more or less.[Edited on May 11, 2009 at 1:51 PM. Reason : drugz not druge]

pure pelletized cocaine is used as an anesthetic for nasal surgeries. I am not suggesting you use street drugs to fix a medical problem.

I've experienced this and my brother has too.My dad said it could be a fungal infection or something in the sinuses. Probably should go to a ear, nose, throat doctor. If you can't get to one, you could try some Panalog and lightly swab it in your nostril. http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=17903

I've used it before on cuts and stuff for the antibiotics. I don't know about the antifungal though. I meant to get some while I was home and use it but I forgot.

this is what my mom had before she was diagnosed with leukemiabut my brother also had nosebleeds a lot and bloody mucus and he just needed his nose tissue cauterized or whatever. i don't know what his problem was but it was something and that was the fix.

^^ I think that you and Samwise are making this a bigger deal than it is. Thanks for the suggestions, though, they've been enlightening. I now know that I can go to a vet for medical treatment.

^ maybe it's bc we've both had immediate family members get leukemia and don't want you going through the same thing
