Obviously I've hit the studs and I was using this hitachi hex bit to drive the bolts in with a drill (I've misplaced my ratchet set)

They've all stalled with an inch to go. Is the torque from a decent ratchet that much greater? Do I back them out and put a 1inch spacer between the washer?

It's an LCD wall mount that needs to support 40 lbs.

ignorant question that could find it's home in the lounge, but CC has exponentially more exposure.

Thanks tww.

well it's a free thread after some handy mofo sees it and responds. I usually have a good info:troll ratio when posting legitimate threads in chitchat.

he did hit the studs. not many cordless drills would drive lag bolts of that size.

if you drilled the holes out big enough that a cordless drill could drive them 4" deep, i sure wouldn't hang my LCD from it.
